Between March 23^rd and April 20^th 2003, Rodríguez-Amat did 40 drawings and paintings on paper, all of them variations on a theme: a single chair, placed legs up. The first drawing, in charcoal on paper, provoked the rest of the series. All of the works were executed with very fast gestures of the arm, presenting a strong visual impact, due to the force of the strike. The artist's intention was to translate the spirit of the form of the chair, not the chair itself.
