Tribute from Rodríguez-Amat to his friend and great artist Sento Masiŕ

 

Portrait of Sento Masiŕ created in front of an audience by Rodríguez-Amat. This portrait was created during a tribute organized by the Molins de Rei city council in which they named him “Adopted son of the city”.

The tribute was made on Friday, June 9, 2017 to the great painter and friend. During the ceremony, Rodríguez-Amat painting his portrait in front of the entire audience. At the end of the ceremony, the portrait was given to Sento Masiŕ.

Because the ceremony was only an hour and a half long Rodríguez-Amat decided to do the portrait with charcoal. Here are photographs from the ceremony and some different preparatory studies. In addition to his portrait, on the right side of a 70 cm x 100 cm sized piece of paper. Rodríguez-Amat drew some shapes that compliments the portrait of his friend.
